- Violators of God’s Moral Code –
You May Be One of Them
Regardless of what you believe, all men will be judged according to God’s moral code. You may say, ‘I do not believe in God.’ It makes no difference that you do not believe in God, because at Judgment Day no one is exempt when God executes His judgment upon all mankind; not even those that claim to be devout Christians. The question is, will you be guilty, or innocent based on His moral standards?
You may treat this subject lightly if you haven’t already disregarded it at all. But the signs of the times, with today’s current events, show us that not only is our Lord Jesus Christ coming very soon, but that the judgment of God will follow. And if you should stand before God guilty of violating His moral standards (even though you think you are a good person), you will be sentenced to an eternal burning and fiery Hell forever. Can you take that chance? Aren’t you curious to see where you stand? If you really want to know where you stand, let’s look at the ten commandments of God which outlines the moral standards that all men will be judged by (click the bar below to reveal God's Moral Code):
- ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'
- TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'
- THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'
- FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
- FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
- SIX: 'You shall not murder.'
- SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
- EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'
- NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'
- TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.'
Now, ask yourself these questions:
- Have I ever told a lie before? Maybe even a tiny ‘white lie?’
- Have I ever harbored hate in my heart toward anyone?
- Have you ever stolen anything? Remember, the value of the item is irrelevant.
- Have you ever looked at the opposite sex, at a person who was not your spouse, and burned with lust in your heart toward them?
If you answered ‘yes’ to question #1, you have violated the 9th commandment and the Bible says this about liars, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelations 21:8)
If you answered ‘yes’ to question #2, you have violated the 6th commandment and the Bible says this about those that hate, “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” (1 John 3:15)
If you answered ‘yes’ to question #3, you have violated the 8th commandment and the Bible says this about thieves, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9,10)
If you answered ‘yes’ to question #4, you have violated the 7th commandment and the Bible says this about it, “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)
If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then by your own admission you are a liar, murderer, thief, or adulterer at heart. You may reason within yourself and say that you have kept 9 of the 10 commandments and that you only violated one of the commandments, but the Bible tells us that a violation of any of them, constitutes your guilt for violating the whole law. James 2:10 states, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”
You may argue that you are not that guilty because you have a ‘heart of gold;’ and that God is a good and righteous god and that He is not a god that would send you to eternal damnation. After all, you’ve done so many wonderful good deeds, how can someone like you be sent to hell, you may wonder. You’re exactly right! God is good and righteous. But where you are wrong at is in the fact that He will send you to a fiery Hell. You see, unlike judges of this world, He is so good and righteous that He cannot let evil go without punishment and leave the innocent with no reward. Because of His goodness, He must execute judgment.
- “And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.” (Psalms 9:8)
- “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” (Matthew 12:36)
Now that the mystery of your destiny has been uncovered, how do you feel knowing that you are unworthy to receive eternal life with God in Heaven? Not very good, I know. Even worse, is the thought of dying the next day, or hour, or minute knowing that you’re guilty before God; and that freak accidents happen without warning, and who is to say one will not happen to you?

The Gift of God
You see, God gave us the 10 commandments not only to awaken our conscience by showing us where we are guilty, but He also gave it to us to lead us to the ONLY method He has prepared for the escape of His judgment and to prepare our hearts to receive it.
- “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Since God declared that the payment for sin was death, this meant that in order for man to make restitution for being a sinner, he would have to die. But tell me, where would you be after having paid for your own sins? Not only would you be dead, but you would not have the opportunity to make it right with God – the end result would be eternal life in Hell (Ezekiel 18:26-28). For this reason, God sent Jesus as a substitutionary sacrifice to die in your place so that the penalty for your sins would be paid for and even more, you would yet remain alive – this is salvation.
Your Opportunity
Knowing that you stand guilty in the sight of God, how can you continue knowing that at any moment your life can be taken away? The evening news each day reveals how death overtakes men, women, and children everywhere. Tomorrow isn’t promised, will you be the next one to make the local news? Freak accidents happen every day and nowadays you just don’t know when your number will be next.
If you’d like to give your heart to God and receive His precious gift of salvation, I want you to pray this prayer with me with all sincerity from your heart:
Father, please forgive me.
I’m a sinner.
I have sinned against You and all of Heaven.
I was ignorant of my condition.
But now I stand without excuse.
I believe that you sent your Son Jesus to die in my place.
I believe that He shed His blood, died, and rose again for the forgiveness of my sins.
Please come into my heart.
Fill me with your spirit.
Show me your ways and teach me your paths.
And I will serve you all the days of my life.
